Maria
Rose "Original"
The “Original”
CD features songs written by Maria, including "This Kind of Certainty",
(a duet with Danny, and inspired by the movie 'Bridges of Madison County'),
"Ice Mountain", (where they have a log cabin), "Laissez
Les Bon Temps Roulez", (a fun Cajun song Maria wrote because of
her love for the city of New Orleans), "You Are the Flame",
(written for and recorded with 12 Special Olympics athletes), and "(We
Need to Be) the RE-United States", (written two weeks after Sept.
11th, and a powerful statement about the United States). The CD also
features “Harbour Island”, “Wild, Like Alaska”,
“Hearts Never Change”, “Thirty Years Ago”, and
two Gospel songs, "SomeOne Did" and "One Ounce of Good".
Maria
and Danny have released their 2nd Gospel CD. The CD features Gospel
songs from some of their other CD's, plus several newly recorded songs
and their touching rendition of "Battle Hymn of the Republic".
The
cover of the CD shows the Katrina Memorial at Shell Beach near Chalmette,
LA. The cross was designed and fabricated by welder Vincent LaBruzzo,
who lost everything in the hurricane and wanted to do something special
with a memorial.
