In memory of Sept. 11, 2001...
"Thanks to all of our Armed Forces, and to the National Guard, the Fire Fighters, Police Officers and Rescue Workers ...to those who put their lives on the line every single day" ...
May we never take our Freedom for granted.

Hear a clip or see the lyrics of Maria's song, "(We Need To Be) The RE-United States"
The entire song is also available for download in MP3 format.

Personality, class, and charisma, make Maryland native, Maria Rose, a quality entertainer. She has recorded 10 albums, hosted her own TV show and has appeared on numerous national television and radio shows. Maria and her group have shared the stage with a countless number of national recording artists. Because of her ongoing volunteerism with various organizations, Maria received the Presidential Points Of Light Award.

In Memorium

Leroy Glazier was the guitarist and leader of the "Midwest Country" house band. We were fortunate enough to meet and work with him when we filmed the "Midwest Country" TV show, shown on the RFD-TV network.
Leroy left a real impression on us, not only because he was a great guitarist, but because he was an all-around, very down to earth guy. He was one of those musicians who was glad to share the stage with others, and he made us feel right at home from the very beginning.
The one thing we'll never forget is when Leroy put Danny on the spot in the middle of our first TV filming, and he said, "This guy's a good guitar player, he should do an instrumental". Danny was speechless because it was not planned within our set list that we rehearsed with the band, but Danny finally asked if everyone knew "Buckaroo". When they said "yes", they breezed through the song like they all played it together for years!
It was because of Leroy that Danny was able to bring this unforgettable performance of "Buckaroo" to the Midwest Country stage in June, 2007. Thanks Leroy, you will very much be missed by all the Midwest Country family of musicians and by all of the fans you've made through the TV show.
Glazier, who had played gigs in the Midwest, the Southwest and Canada, died of pancreatic cancer on July 24 in St. Cloud. He was 66.

“This Kind of Certainty…” the title track on this new album, was inspired by the movie, “The Bridges of Madison County”.
The cover photo was actually taken at the Roseman Bridge, where many of the movie scenes were filmed, (Winterset, Iowa).
The song came to me after the photo, it was the last one recorded for this CD.
Thanks to Danny, my partner, my friend and the love of my life, and also to ‘Robert & Francesca’, … many parallels, but the ending was different.
We dedicate this song to our friends, Dot & Larry, who were the first to hear it on their 20th anniversary.

Updates From The Road

Hi and Happy New Year to all of you!!
We would've written sooner, but after performing on New Years Eve at the Alvin Opry in Texas, (great evening of a listening theater audience, no alcohol, smoke, etc.), we spent a night at Lake Fausse Pointe in Louisiana. They do not have internet, TV, radio, but what a beautiful location with a cabin right on the bayou!

So, since we didn't get to wish you all the New Year's greeting until now, we hope this year will be a good one for you! We're looking forward to many more travels again this year at some nice events, so we'll keep you updated.

We're also starting a new CD project this week when we return to Maryland, and hope to have it completed in a few months.

Happy New Year, and God Bless all of you.

12-26-2007 CHRISTMAS IN NEW ORLEANS:

Hi Everyone: We are here in New Orleans and having just a GREAT time!!! We did some singing at the Bridge House, a homeless and rehabilition center in the middle of town, and the one thing that stands out in my mind was a homeless man named 'Ron' ... he told me that we really made his day with our music, and that meant everything to us.

After that, we went to the 'Rock 'n' Bowl' to do some bowling and see our favorite New Orleans band, 'Benny Grunch and the Bunch'. It's a fun place and a great place to celebrate Christmas!

We were lucky to stay in the French Quarter, and were within walking distance to all the shops. The hotel was really nice, and we plan to come back and stay here again in a few months.

There is no place like New Orleans, it really has become 'home' to us. We also took a trip to the Lower 9th Ward, the place where Brad Pitt organized "Make It Right NOLA.org", and saw the pink 'houses' that will soon be home to some folks who lost everything. Very moving, very emotional and an eye-opener that we, who do have a roof over our heads, should really be grateful to God for it.

Hope your holidays are just the best!
